A colorless, high-quality 327-carat diamond was recently found in the Karowe Mine diamond mine in Botswana. The discovery took place at the end of April, a few days after finding a 472-carat diamond in the same mine.
Lucara Diamond announced that in June it will auction exceptional uncut diamonds including the two diamonds from the Karowe Mine, as well as other diamonds of similar quality.
In early May in the Angolan Lulo diamond mine, the Lucapa diamond company found a 46ct diamond pink diamond. It is now the largest colored diamond ever found in the mine. The record was previously held by the yellow 43-carat diamond, that was discovered in January.
In the Lulo diamond mine, the company has found a number of large diamonds, including 10 diamonds over 100 carats. The most important diamonds found in the Lula diamond mine are two colorless diamonds type IIA and weighing 404 and 227 carats, respectively.
