The Doxa fine watch company was founded in 1889 in Switzerland. It took its name from the Greek word for "Glory" and over the years the company's name has denoted the magnificence of watches with its reputation for value, quality, and exceptional craftsmanship.
In 1905 the Doxa pocket watch was awarded at the World Exhibition “Exposition Universelle et Internationale” in Liège. In 1906 the Doxa anti-magnetic watch was awarded the gold medal at the World Exhibition in Milan.
